Philip Island

So the weekend before last weekend, approx. half the class went to Philip Island together. Despite the fact that some people are better friends than others, I felt that we overall had a fun trip. I think it's a good way to get everyone together, if only for one day.

So we went by bus, and it was surprisingly fun. We made a couple of stops on the way, first to eat lunch, then to spend a couple of hours on the beach, then Wild Life Park (a park with all kinds of animals like kangaroos, wombats etc). and finally Philip Island Nobbies Centre and on to the Penguin Parade.

The beach was fun, we were there for about 2 hours, but the water was pretty cold, so I didn't go swim. But I got a bit of sun and tooks lots of pictures.
After that - Wild Life Park where we took pictures of the animals and some tried to feed them - not me, I'm not really into animals.
But I did see one cool kangaroo with a baby kangaroo in it's pocket:
Afterwards we did a little souvenir shopping, and of course I bought more than I really should have. But it was actually all gifts for people, and rarely for myself.

Then we went to the Nobbies Centre, which is basically a long bridge/boardwalk, where you get a fantastic view, and if you're lucky, you might be able to see small penguins hiding under the bridge. I saw a couple, but couldn't get close enough to take any pictures.

Here is the entire crew on the bridge by the Nobbies Centre:Finally to the penguin parade, where you were not allowed to take pictures, because the penguins are frightened by it, but we waited for about 1 hour + and finally they came out. They were really small and they were running in to the beach from the water, after having been fishing for food the whole day.
