The bush fires this year is one of the nation's worst natural disasters ever, and has almost killed 200 people already. The bushfires were caused by boiling heat (approx. 40-47 C. degrees) and draught as it hasn't rained for ages.
I am however not affected by the bushfires, as I'm in Altona Meadows, which is approx. 40 km away from it - but I do think it's tragic and I feel sorry for the victims.
The weather in general is very different these days. We went from approx. 48 degrees on Saturday to about 20 degress on Sunday. The whole week, it's been fairly cold with "only" 20 degrees, and that made me realise I didn't bring enough clothes for that kind of weather.. I assumed it would be hot. Although, for the time being I'm doing fine, just a bit cold sometimes.

Onto something completely different, everyday I see this famous monument in Melbourne named the Southern Star (the big Parisian weel)
I have still not had a chance to go look at it personally, and it is not working right now due to the recent heatwave, but it looks really cool.
It's very visible from the station where I get off in the morning (North Melbourne), to take the city loop train into Melbourne Central where I walk to school. Melbourne Central is a train station, but also a shopping centre, food court and supermarket all in one. It's über cool, and I'm in there all the time.
I finally got a chance to take a picture.
So I promised myself I needed to start taking more pictures, because I experience all kinds of weird things while being down here, and I'm getting tired of every picture being 100 % perfect. So we were walking into Melbourne Central and the watch just "unfolded" and another layer come out.

I love the "extra layer" with the birds and the golden stuff, it's so pretty.
Also, I've arranged several small trips while being down here. So far I'm going to Great Ocean Road, Philip Island, Sydney and maybe Gold Coast.
I'm going to Great Ocean Road & Philip Island next weekend and to Sydney in the end of March.
I heard it's absolutely beautiful there, so I'll bring the camera and take lots of pictures.
All for now,
ML
